Ony Antonucci

Born in New York, New York I studied voice and guitar at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. I also studied privately with a Broadway singer/coach, a gospel singer/teacher, and a college opera coach. I attended classes at Queens College in New York and UCLA in California to further my musical studies in performance and composition.

When I was a teenager I worked as a solo singer/guitarist in clubs and concerts performing many of my own compositions. I began recording my own songs with rock and roll groups and had recording contracts with A&M records and RCA records and Platinum Chess records. We did promotional tours in Europe and the United States performing in nightclubs, theaters and concert halls.

I’ve toured the country with several internationally known artists such as Foreigner and Joe Walsh. This resulted in my moving to Los Angeles California doing studio work on albums and movie soundtracks,

While in California I toured with Rock and Roll hall of fame artist Hank Ballard and the Midnighters as a featured vocalist and performed at Jazz Festivals, and Blues Clubs throughout North America

.After moving to Las Vegas I performed regularly on the strip in showrooms and lounges singing Jazz, Blues, and Rock & Roll.

I also enjoy working with kids. I was the artistic director of the Cadwallader middle school “Swing Set” Choir. I teach vocal and performance technique as well as choreographing the shows. After escorting the choir to a performance of the Blues Schoolhouse I fell in love with the show. I became vocalist and narrator with the International House of Blues Schoolhouse Band performing regularly at the House of Blues in the Mandalay Bay Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas.

I now reside in upstate New York where I am performing a one woman version of the House of Blues Show and doing concert work for local organizations.
